Site work and renovation of a civil project in Toston, Montana. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.

The project consists of exterior repainting of approximately 450 feet of 7-foot diameter steel irrigation pipe spanning the Missouri River, and interior repainting of the first 3 feet of the inlet and outlet. The Pipe Span is located approximately 4 miles upstream of Toston, MT. The west end is accessed via Hwy 287 and Toston Dam RD. The east end is accessed by proceeding south of the town of Toston on Lambard Rd. The Pipe Span is owned by the DNRC State Water Projects Bureau and operated by the Broadwater-Missouri Water Users Association. Numerous spots varying from 1" to 3" in diameter at 5 locations within the pipe interior also require repainting. The work generally includes implementing containment and safety protocols, surface preparation, application of specified coatings, cleanup, and incidentals. Bids shall be on a lump-sum price basis, and the award will be based on the Bid Price of the lowest, responsive, responsible, and qualified BIDDER as determined by DNRC. One contract will be awarded for the Work. A fully executed Contract is anticipated by March 15, 2022 and the Project shall be substantially complete by November 1, 2022. Irrigation season will prohibit work inside the pipe from May 1 through September 30 and will potentially inhibit exterior product application due to surface temperature variation and moisture condensation resulting from water flow within the pipe. Bid Security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the Bid must accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Bids not accompanied by said Bid Security will be rejected. Successful Bidders shall furnish an approved Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. Insurance as required shall be provided by the successful Bidder(s) and a certificate(s) of that insurance shall be provided. The right is reserved to reject any or all proposals received, to waive informalities, to postpone the award of the contract for a period of not to exceed sixty (60) days, and to accept the lowest responsive, responsible and qualified Bidder which is in the best interest of the DNRC.
