The work consists of providing all labor and materials necessary to remove the existing roof system on the building per the bid document. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities, and to select the bid deemed to be in the best interest of the City It shall be the responsibility of the successful bidder to protect other work from spillage of roofing materials and prevent liquid materials from entering or clogging drains and conductors, replace and/or restore other work damaged by installation of roofing. Replace down spout strainers if necessary and/or clean out to permit positive flow. All bidders submitting a proposal shall comply with these policies. Quality and Warranty - In addition to any standard product warranty provided by product manufactures, the contractor shall at his own expense amend and repair any damage arising from defective or improper materials or workmanship which may appear within one year after completion of the work. Substitutions - Substitutions from products or materials other than those specified must be approved no less than two days prior to bid opening. All requests for substitutions must be in writing and include product cut sheets for the item requested for substitution. The Contractor shall coordinate with the Owner on the work schedule. The scope of the work consists of providing all tools, labor, and materials necessary to remove the existing roof system at 1001 N. 2nd (Dodge City Public Library) and install roofing and sheet metal per the specs below.
