The Project for which the Work under the Contract Documents may be the whole or only a part is generally described as follows: Surface preparation, painting and repairs of the 250,000 gallon elevated water tower including the high pressure power washing to an SSPC-SP1 of all exterior surfaces, the spot surface preparation to an SSPC-SP11/SP6 of all corroded and failed areas of the existing exterior coating system, and the application of a three-coat acrylic exterior coating system, the complete coating removal of the existing interior, dry and interior, wet coating systems and full preparation to an SSPC-SP10 of all interior, dry and interior, wet surfaces and the application of a three-coat epoxy coating system on all interior locations, installation of a non-freeze drain valve and coupling on the tank riser pipe, installation of an internal tank mixing system, installation of a new submerged cathodic protection system, and miscellaneous minor exterior and interior repair items as listed. To be provided as part of this work shall be full interior dehumidification and required temperature control equipment and a temporary hydropneumatic tank. The Project timeframe is 90 days and is intended to be constructed in the Spring / Summer 2022 with all work completed by July 4, 2022. An exterior and interior tank condition report for the elevated tower was completed in September 2020 and is included as part of the Bidding Documents. Photographs that accompanied the tank inspection report are available for review at the offices of the Engineer during normal business hours for verification of tank conditions, work items, and repair areas specified Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. All listed iron and steel products used in this project must be produced in the United States. The term "iron and steel products" means the following products made primarily of iron or steel: lined or unlined pipes and fittings, manhole covers and other municipal castings, hydrants, tanks, flanges, pipe clamps and restraints, valves, structural steel, reinforced precast concrete, and construction materials. The De Minimis Components, Minor Components and Pig Iron waivers apply to this contract.
