Renovation of a municipal facility in San Luis Obispo, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The California Conservation Corps (CCC) San Luis Obispo Center is looking for bids to replace siding, trim and exterior doors on five (5) buildings. They are building numbers 1524, 1529, 1533, 1534, 1546. The siding, trim and doors are approximately 35 years old and many portions of the buildings have dry rot damage and have exceeded their intended service life. Contractor to provide all labor, tools, equipment, materials, licensing, permits and taxes necessary to provide the CCC Los Padres Center with exterior siding, trim and door replacement. 1. Remove and replace approximately 15 sheets of 4' x 8' x 19/32" T1-11 4" O.C. siding from all buildings included in this scope. Nailing to be performed at 12" O.C. in the field and 6" O.C. on edges with galvanized nails. 1a. Install Tyvek HomeWrap waterproofing membrane (or approved alternate) underneath all removed/replaced T1-11 siding. 1b. Install z-bar flashing on all newly installed sheets of T1-11 siding. 2. Remove and replace approximately 528 LF of 1x4 square edge primed pine lumber. 3. Remove and replace approximately 660 LF of 2x12 Appearance Grade Douglas Fir dimensional lumber. 4. Remove and replace twenty-six (22) 36" x 80" 16-guage steel doors with welded frames and two (2) sets of 16-guage steel double doors with welded frames. Install commercial grade weather stripping. All existing door hardware will be removed and re-installed after new door installation. Remove/replace to include exterior and interior trim (where applicable). 5. See 'Attachment A' for door specifications. 6. The determinization of the correct door swing(s) prior to door purchase is the responsibility of the contractor or their representative. Each door replaced is to match the current existing door swing. 7. There will be three (3) separate inspections required for this project performed by the CSLO and/or the CCC. See below for inspection details. Inspection 1: After demolition to inspect for further dry rot and/or termite damage. Inspection 2: After repairs to siding - prior to trim installation. Inspection 3: Final acceptance
