The bids are for a single Prime Contract consisting of upgrading the mechanical ventilation units for the academic wing of the high school with energy recovery wheel, DX cooling, and gas fired units. The existing inoperable units will be removed, and new corresponding ductwork, piping, and electrical work will be installed per the contract documents. The estimated construction cost for the Project is 290,000. The Owner will review bids, recommendations, and award contract at the Hudson Community School Board Room, 136 S. Washington Street, Hudson, IA 50643 during its Regular Board of Education meeting at 5:00 p.m., on February 16, 2022. Work is anticipated to commence upon Notice to Proceed, on June 6, 2022, and substantial completion by August 12, 2022 with the potential of installing the rooftop equipment at a later date as shown on the Contract Documents. The right is reserved to reject any and all bids, or any part thereof, and to waive informalities, and to enter into such contract or contracts as shall be deemed in the best interest of the Owner.
