The bids are for a Single Prime Contract - Stipulated Sum project consisting of renovating existing toilet rooms, plant services room and corridors in the kindergarten wing of the Elementary School Building located at 136 S. Washington Street in Hudson, Iowa 50643, in accordance with the Contract Documents. The estimated construction cost for the Project is $215,000. Doc Note - Copies of the Bidding Documents may be obtained through Rapids Reproductions via their Public Plan Room phone at (319) 277-5538; or in person at their Cedar Falls, Iowa location (6201 Chancellor Drive), in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Call ahead to ensure copies will be available for pickup at your selected location. Bidders may obtain sets of the Bidding Documents in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders upon depositing the sum of $150.00 (written to Levi Architecture) or a MBI Plan Deposit card for each set of documents. Fees associated with shipment of plans is the responsibility of bidder. Deposit will be refunded if Bid Documents are returned complete, undamaged, unmarked and reusable, within 14 days of bid submission. Failure to comply will result in forfeiture of deposit. Work is anticipated to commence upon award of contract or Notice to Proceed and Work is to be substantially complete by August 8, 2025 and work completed by August 15, 2025, constructed in one phase as shown on the Contract Documents. Bid security in the amount of 5% of the total bid in the form of certified check, credit union share draft, or surety bond written on an original AIA Document A310, Bid Bond is required for this project, and must be submitted at the time of bid. The successful bidder will be required to provide surety Performance and Payment Bonds in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Sum. The right is reserved to reject any and all bids, or any part thereof, and to waive informalities, and to enter into such contract or contracts as shall be deemed in the best interest of the Owner.
