The project involves rehabilitation of approximately 18,220 L.F. of existing 6" thru 12" sanitary sewer by pipe bursting, approximately 2,990 L.F. of existing 6" thru 10" sanitary sewer by cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) liner, replacement/rehabilitation of approximately 1,240 L.F. of existing 8" force main from Lift Station No. 18, manhole rehabilitation, service re connections, and all labor, equipment, materials, and incidentals required for the project. This project also includes one (1) Add Alternate. Add Alternate No. 1 involves rehabilitation of approximately 510 L.F. of existing 8" sanitary sewer by pipe bursting and approximately 415 L.F. of existing 12" sanitary sewer by cure din-place pipe (CIPP) liner. Bid security in the amount of five (5) percent of the greatest amount bid must accompany each bid. It shall be each bidder's sole responsibility to inspect the site of the work and to inform himself regarding all local conditions under which the work is to be done. It shall be understood and agreed that all such factors have been thoroughly investigated and considered in the preparation of the bid submitted. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond and payment bond in an amount of 100% of the total contract price. The Contractor and all Subcontractors for this project will be required to pay not less than the prevailing wage rates for the area of the project as required in the contract documents. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any and all formalities and technicalities, and to accept any bid which it deems advantageous to the owner.
