2022-2024 Asbestos Abatement Wayne High School Each bid proposal shall include all labor, material and services necessary to complete the projects in strict accordance with the project specifications as prepared and on file in the office of: ACM Engineering & Environmental Services, Inc. 839 Mill Lake Road, Suite 400 Fort Wayne, Indiana 46845 The Project Base Bid consists of as- aoatement throughout Wayn< High School which will include the D1NEL0CAL bestos abatement throughout Wayne High School which will include thr proper isolation, removal, decon- tamination, and disposal of asbestos containingTSI pipe and fitting insulation, Tloor tiles, and/or floor tile mastics, transite chalk boards, non-asbestos chalk/white boards, tack boards, and all associated assumed asbestos adhesives, gym pads and adhesives, mirrors and adhesives, cork boards and adhesives, transite laboratory table tops, transite window sills, transite fume hoods, transite vent stack, stage light fixture wire insulation, expansion/isolation boots, and stainless steel sink coating. Bids shall be received from a single Indiana Department of Environmental Management IDEM) State of Indiana licensed asbestos abatement contractor. Each bid proposal shall be accompanied by a certified check, a cashier's check or a bid bond executed by a surety company which is authorized to do business in the State of Indiana, made payable to the Fort Wayne Community Schools and in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid. In the event a bidder withdraws its bid or fails to execute a satisfactory contract within thirty (30) days after the contract is awarded to such bidder by Fort Wayne Community Schools, Fort Wayne Community Schools may declare the certified check, cashier's check or bid bond forfeited to Fort Wayne Community Schools, as liquidated damages. A bid proposal may not be modified, withdrawn or cancelled by the bidder for sixty (60) days following the time and date designated for the receipt of bids without the consent of Fort Wayne Community Schools. Fort Wayne Community Schools reserves the right to reject any and all bids or waive any or all informalities, irregularities and/or inconsistencies in, or with respect to, any or all bids. Fort Wayne Community Schools reserves the right to assign all or any portion of any Did and/or contract to any non-profit building corporation controlled by Fort Wayne Community Schools without the consent of any other party, and any employee of Fort Wayne Community Schools may be designated by Fort Wayne Community Schools and/or any such non-profit building corporation to serve as the authorized agent or representative of such non-profit building corporation with respect to any such bid or contract. All contracts awarded in connection with these projects and all obligations of payment by Fort Wayne Community Schools or any non-profit building corporation controlled by Fort Wayne Community Schools shall be conditioned upon and subject to obtaining financing or other funds sufficient to pay all of the amounts set forth in such contract. All awarded contracts will be subject to termination, without penalty or liability, at the option of Fort Wayne Community Schools or any such non-profit building corporation at any time after execution of such contract in the event Fort Wayne Community Schools determines that funds will not be sufficient to pay all of the amounts set forth in such contract. Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount shall be required to be provided by the successful bidder to Fort Wayne Community Schools or its assignee no later than ten (10) lays after the execution of such contract.
