As of April 14, 2022, project was awarded to J & J Excavating & Materials, awarded amount is $518,730.75. The project includes: Approximately 1,500 LF roadway improvements on Ruth Drive, and Approximately 2,500 LF pavement improvements on Ada Circle. This project includes recycling existing pavement, cement stabilization and two course surface treatment. Electronic copy of the project documents are available free of charge. Bidders will be required to inform themselves of all Addenda duly issued. Information regarding the number of Addenda which have been duly issued can be obtained from Hejl, Lee & Associates, Inc., 206 Taylor Street, Hutto, Texas 78634, telephone (512) 642-3292. A cashier's check, certified check, or acceptable Bid Bond, payable to the order of the Dimmit County, in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the total Bid must accompany each Bid as a guarantee that, if awarded the Contract, the Bidder will promptly enter into the Contract and execute forms contained in the Project Documents within 30 days after the Notice of Award. Bonds shall be executed on appropriate forms and shall specifically provide for "Performance" and "Payment" Bonds and shall be in an amount of 100 percent of the Contract price from a solvent surety company authorized to do business in the State of Texas and acceptable to Dimmit County. It shall be necessary that the CONTRACTOR increase the face amount of the Bond to equal each net increase, if any, in the original Contract price. Dimmit County reserves the right to reject any and all Bids and any nonconforming Bid and to award the Contract in a period of time not exceeding 60 days from the Bid opening date. Bids shall remain firm for that period. Dimmit County hereby notifies all Bidders that, in regard to any agreement entered into pursuant to this advertisement, minority business enterprises will be afforded equal opportunities to submit Bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, sex, age, religion, or national origin in consideration for an award. In addition, wage rate not less than the federally determined prevailing (Davis - Bacon and Related Acts), contained in the contract documents, must be paid on this project. Time is of the essence on this Contract.
