The existing air conditioning system is a "chiller" system that uses well water to cool the main area of the school. This water has a high salt content, thus resulting in numerous failures within the system, including pumps, coils and piping. The goal is to replace the chiller system with a refrigerant system integrated into the existing ventilation. The selected contractor will be responsible for the following: - Remove the well water cooling coils and replace them with air conditioning. - Installing thermostat controls in the basement utility room by the existing pneumatic panel. - Supply and install the necessary components for a refrigerant system. - Setup a compound outside the southeast entrance of the school for the air conditioner compressors. - Work with our current control systems provider to have the new system accessible with our web controls program. - Supply and replace any component that is currently compromised that is necessary for the new system.
