The scope of work for this project includes, but is not limited to, the following: Crushing and stockpiling of aggregates, interim pile Crushing and stockpiling of aggregates The Contractor shall work within the limits shown on the pit plan as MB 4 then 5 or as directed by the Consultant. The Contractor shall crush the pit run aggregates to produce Designation 4 Class 20 and Designation 4 Class 40 materials in the quantities indicated in the Alternate selected at the time of award. Alternates A and B are provided so that the contractor may offer prices for the production of the aggregate quantity in those options. The County will select the alternate based on the availability of budget to complete the quantity in that alternate and any other factor besides price and capability to perform the work that it deems in its sole discretion to be relevant to its decision. The interim pile shall be approximately 44,000 tonnes of Designation 4 Class 20 to be placed separately from the remainder to allow measurement for payment during the first week of July and the potential use of that pile for County operations beginning the second week of July. It is anticipated that this pile will be produced in the pit from bank material, however, proposals from the Contractor for other methods of putting up this pile will be considered and may be approved at the sole discretion of the County. Unless otherwise specified, the Contractor must supply all materials necessary to complete the Work. A complete job is called for, therefore any labour, material, equipment, tool or incidental item not specifically mentioned, but necessary for completeness will be considered incidental to the Work, and no separate or additional payment will be made.
