** This project has been awarded to Tapani Inc. in the amount of $20,545,840. ** The construction of all components of the Phase 5A Project: Package 2 - Salmon Creek Treatment Plant Columbia River Effluent Pipeline. Work includes construction of approximately 6,160 feet of 48-inch effluent pipeline including a bored crossing of the BNSF railroad, two river crossings (Salmon Creek and Lake River), a connection to the existing effluent pump station piping, a connection to the existing effluent pipe at Lower River Road, bypass systems, pipe bedding material, and all other work as described in the Contract Plans and Specifications. The Board of Sewer Commissioners reserves the right to waive informalities in the bidding, accept a proposal of the lowest responsible bidder, reject any or all bids, republish the call for bids, revise or cancel the work, or require the work to be done in another way if the best interest of the District is served. Award of contract is not anticipated to occur prior to March 23, 2022. All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in cash, certified check, cashiers check, or surety bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of such proposal. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish a satisfactory performance bond within the time stated in the specifications, the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited to the District.
