Bid bonds are required. Each bid must be accompanied by bid security in the amount of 10% of the bid. The security may consist of cash, a cashier's check, a certified check, a bank money order, a certificate of deposit, a money market certificate, or a bank draft. Each proposal must also include as a separate bid item, the cost for the contractor to furnish 100% Performance Bond and Labor and Materials Payment Bond. It will be up to the discretion of Montana State Fund. Whether or not successful Bidders will be required to furnish these Performance Bond and Labor and Materials Payment Bonds. The right is reserved to reject any or all proposals received, to waive informalities, to postpone the award of the contract for a period not to exceed thirty (30) days, and to accept the bid which is in the best interests of the Owner.
