Demolition, site work and asbestos abatement for a municipal facility in Cecil, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the demolition of a municipal facility; for site work for a municipal facility; and for asbestos abatement for a municipal facility.
This project includes the collection and disposal of a demolished 3-story Brick structure with basement located at 22 Mawhinney Road in Cecil Township. The scope of work includes minor demolition, collection and containment and offsite disposal (at a facility approved to accept asbestos) of all material and debris to the first-floor level (floor and basement to remain), traffic control and resident notification, complete in place. The Proposals must be made to Cecil Township, Washington County, Pennsylvania, and shall remain firm for a period of sixty (60) days. No Bidder may withdraw his Proposal during the sixty (60) day period without forfeiting his Bid guarantee. The Township retains the right to award the Contract to the lowest qualified, responsive and responsible bidder based on consideration of quality of previous work; record of completing projects on time; history of payments to subcontractors and suppliers; maintenance of a permanent place of business; adequacy of equipment and plant to do the work; technical experience of contractors staff; a solid financial base to guarantee contract completion and all other factors deemed relative by the Township. The Township also reserves the right to reject any or all Proposals, or any part thereof, for any reason, and reserves the right to waive any informality therein.
