Construction of the Thorndyke Road MP 4.71 Culvert Replacement This contract provides for the improvement of Thorndyke Road by replacing the culvert at Thorndyke Road MP 4.71 in Jefferson County near Port Ludlow, Washington. Work, includes the removal of the existing culverts, installation and removal of a temporary traffic bypass, installation of a new buried bridge, structural earth walls, HMA wearing surface, guardrail, reconstruction of stream channel and installation of large woody debris, and other work, all in accordance with the attached Contract Plans, these Contract Provisions, and the Standard Specifications. Each bid shall be accompanied by a surety bond, postal money order, cash, cashiers check or certified check payable to the Treasurer of Jefferson County in the sum of five (5%) percent of the bid. amount, to be forfeited to Jefferson County by the successful bidder if he/she fails to enter into a contract and file an acceptable surety bond in the amount of 1.00% of the contract price within ten (10) days of the award. The Board of County Commissioners reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and to accept the bid deemed most advantageous to Jefferson County, and to waive all informalities in the bidding.
