The Project scope consists of the removal and replacement of asphalt pavement with incidental work to include (but not limited to) concrete flatwork replacement, concrete curb and gutter replacement, pavement striping and landscape restoration. Prospective Bidders shall attend a mandatory Pre-Bid Conference, which will be attended by both the Owner and the Consultant, to familiarize themselves with the project. Bids received after designated time and date of bid opening will not be considered. Two (2) copies of your bid proposal must be submitted on the "Bid Form" provided, along with two (2) copies of all form attachments. Bid security, in the form of a bid bond, cashier's check or certified check, in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the Base Bid shall be submitted with the bid. Performance, Labor and Material Payment Bonds, each equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Amount and acceptable Certificate of Insurance, will be required from the successful bidder. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids or parts thereof, to waive any irregularities or informalities in bidding procedures and to award the contract in a manner best serving the interest of the School District. All bidders must comply with Illinois Compiled Statutes, 820 ILCS 130/ requiring the payment of prevailing wage rates to all laborers, workmen and mechanics working on publicly funded projects. If during the time period of work, these rate changes, the contractor shall be responsible for additional costs without any change to the contract amount. The Contract is subject to the requirements of the Equal Employment Practices Commission and the Illinois Human Rights Act (HRA) Illinois Revised Statues, Ch. 69, Par. 1-101, et. seq." (Including the requirement that every party to a public contract shall have adopted written sexual harassment policies, P.A. 87-1257).
