As of January 25, 2023, an architect has been selected for the project. Construction is estimated to take place in May of 2023. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: Request for qualifications will be reviewed and interviewed by the building and grounds committee of the Newell School District on March 2nd, 2022. Scope of project - Previous experience with CTE buildings - Lab space for welding and small engines classes - Project meet school budget of ESSER III funding - RFQs must attend set up a meeting with superintendent by Tuesday February 22nd The Board of Education will pass upon the opened RFQs at the above address or other pre-designated place of meeting within thirty (30) days. The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any and all RFQs and to waive any and all informalities. The Work under this contract is subject to the provisions of the Davis-Bacon and Related Acts. The successful contractor shall comply with the wage determination included in the project manual, including the submittal of weekly payroll records. Federal ESSER funding requirement are included in the project manual. The Newell School District #9-2 does not pay Federal Excise Tax, under section 6416 of the Internal Revenue code, applicable to the above items. This tax should not be included in the bid price. Envelopes containing RFQs must be sealed and marked in the upper left-hand corner with the name and address of the bidder, identification of the bid, and the date and hour of the opening. The Newell School District #9-2 Board of Education reserves the right to reject any and/or all RFQs.
