Site work and paving for a road / highway in Marion, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The general nature of the work on which bids are requested is: 23582 SY of pavement milling, 2263 TONS of HMA Surface Mix, 2192 TONS of HMA Base Mix, 54.7 STA of Pavement Markings and miscellaneous related work and appurtenances in accordance with the contract documents. Work shall be completed by no later than September 30, 2022. 10% bid bond Each successful biddershall be required to furnish a corporate surety bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of its contract price. Said bond to be issued by a responsible surety approved by the City Council and shall guarantee the faithful performance of the contract and the terms and conditions therein contained and shall guarantee the prompt payment of all material and labor, and protect and save harmless the City from claims and damages of any kind caused by the operations of the contract. The City does hereby reserve the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities, and to enter into such contract, or contracts, as it shall deem to be in the best interest of the City.
