CONSTRUCTION PLANS Clarendon Hazard Mitigation Grant Project ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS The City of Clarendon will receive bids for the Clarendon Hazard Mitigation Grant Project until 10:00 a.m. Central Standard time on the 1st of March, 2022 in the City Clerk's Office - 270 Madison Street, Clarendon, Arkansas 72029, at which time and place all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. Deliver/mail plans to the attention of Angie Baker, City Clerk at the address listed above. The major improvements for the project will consist of the following: Drainage ditch improvements along the existing drainage ditch from Hwy 302 south to Hwy 79 (+/-3,800 LF) Information for Bidders, Form of Bid, Form of Contract, Plans, Specifications, and Forms of Bid Bond, Performance and Payment Bond and other contract documents may be examined at the following locations: (1) Southern Reprographics 901 W. 7th Street Little Rock, AR 72201 A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of the City of Clarendon, Arkansas, negotiable U.S. Government bonds (at par value), or satisfactory bid bond executed by the bidder and an acceptable surety in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total of bid shall be submitted with each bid. The successful bidder must be in compliance with the requirements of Act 150 of 1965, effective June 9, 1965, subject to any subsequent amendments, which is the current Arkansas State Licensing Law for Contractors to execute a construction contract with the City of Clarendon. The City of Clarendon hereby notifies all bidders that this contract is subject to applicable labor laws, non-discrimination provisions, wage rate laws and other federal laws including the Fair Labor Standards Acts of 1938. The Work Hours Act of 1962 and Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 also apply. The City of Clarendon reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in bidding to the extent allowed by law. Bids may be held by the City of Clarendon for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days following opening of bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders prior to awarding of the contract.
