The City of Franklin, Virginia is requesting sealed bids for the pumping, transportation, and final disposal of aerobically digested sludge. The project includes the pumping, transportation, and offsite disposal of an estimated 200,000 gallons of sludge from the aerobic sludge digester. No onsite sludge dewatering shall be permitted. To provide all labor, material, equipment, and rolling stock needed to pump sludge from the sludge digester to a truck and transported off site for final disposal. Sludge shall be pumped from the digester in a manner that results in no spillage of sludge on the plant grounds or paved areas. The sludge shall be transported in a watertight container or vessel to ensure no leakage of sludge during transport. The sludge shall be disposed of in accordance with all state and federal requirements. The sludge transported off site shall be accounted for in 1000-gallon increment and the scale tickets must be returned to the City daily. Questions shall be submitted by February 17, 2022.
