This Project consists of construction of new emergency dry media scrubber facilities for the Salinas Valley Reclamation project (SVRP) Chlorination facilities at the Monterey One Water's (M1W's) Regional Treatment Plant (RTP) site. The SVRP Chlorination System Dry Scrubber Facility will replace the existing 10-ton emergency wet scrubber system. The project includes: site preparation; Relocation of an existing 2" gas line; Construction of a new structure foundation and equipment pad; Construction of two (2) 1-ton dry media scrubber units including a blower (exhaust fan) with exhaust stack for each scrubber unit, required dry media for both scrubber units, a Unit Control Panel for each scrubber unit and instrumentation; Furnishing and installation of new 24-inch diameter FRP duct main, two (2) manually operated 24-inch dampers; Construction of structural supports for the new ducting and construction of an elevated work platform and bridge above and joining the 2 scrubber vessels; Electrical, Systems Integration and Applications Programming work required for the functioning of the new Chlorination System Emergency Dry Media Scrubber Facility; Finish grading, paving, curbs, parking striping, new sidewalk, repair of existing sidewalk; Painting and application of protective coatings, Facility start-up, testing and O&M training of the Owner's staff; Demolition of the existing wet scrubber facility including surface restoration of the demolished wet scrubber area.
