Huntsville Utilities is soliciting bids for the following: VT Water Pump Service Contract Scope of Work: 1. Vertical Turbine Water Pump Repairs a. Disassemble, clean, inspect (DCI) to assess failures, diagnose, and determine needed repairs. b. Provide detailed report containing proposed work and/or repairs, material costs, estimated labor hours, and estimated time for completion. c. Hourly labor costs for field service calls for diagnostics/troubleshooting. d. Hourly labor costs for field service calls for pump removal/repair shop delivery and owner delivery/pump install. e. Hourly labor costs for repair shop work for machining. f. Hourly labor costs for repair shop work for pump assembly. 2. Cost for materials, equipment, and associated incidentals for repairs shall be provided for approval Engineer/Owner approval prior to start of repairs. 3. Provide all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals required to attach new pump head, shaft, and column assembly to an existing discharge head to match the existing dimensional and TDH/Flow requirements. (Specific drawings will be provided by Engineer/Owner.) 4. These Specifications are intended to give a general description of what is required, but do not cover all details which will vary in accordance with the requirements of the equipment application. It is intended to cover the furnishing, shop testing, the delivery and appurtenances for the complete pumping unit as herein specified, whether specifically mentioned in these Specifications or not. 5. For all units there shall be furnished and installed all necessary and desirable accessory equipment and auxiliaries whether specifically mentioned in these Specifications or not, as required for an installation incorporating the highest standards for this type of service. 6. The naming or reference to a specific manufacturer does not indicate that the Manufacturer's standard equipment is acceptable in lieu of the specified component features. This reference is only an indication that the named manufacturers may have the capability of supplying the equipment as specified. 7. The heads & bowl assemblies shall be manufactured by, and repairer shall be a representative that is a factory authorized repair shop for one of the below: 2.1 The term of this Agreement shall be for a maximum term of three (3) years.
