RFIs are due on Monday, 2/21/22 by 10:00am The Work of this project provides for the furnishing of all labor, materials, appliances, tools, equipment and plant, and the performing of all Work in accordance with the specifications and drawings associated with this project. The project consists of one (1) contract that shall include, but not be limited to: The installation of backup power at the Buffalo Niagara International Airport Transit Police Station and Operations building at 175 Aero Drive Cheektowaga, NY 14225. The work will provide for the installation of a new full building diesel generator (at 125KW), fuel storage tank, service ATS, and mobile generator tap box installed to NEC 700 and 708 requirements and seismically braced. All site and electrical raceway work in preparation for new diesel generator, service ATS, and mobile generator tap box including concrete pads, excavation/trenching, protective bollards, and backfill/surface restoration. Ancillary controls, accessories, and startup. Planning and coordination with multiple entities (NFTA, NFTA Police, FAA, and National Grid) for cutting into the existing service ductbank, which will include the installation of a new manhole and new conductors to the new equipment and existing utility transformer. Includes setting up temporary provisions to power the building with a mobile generator during cutover including relocating (3) feeders to a different panelboard and providing a temporary generator. Providing additional exterior lighting for exterior electrical equipment for maintenance or operations usage. Removing old emergency lighting battery packs and exit signs and installing new in existing and new locations. Requests may be accompanied by either a certified check, cashier's check or postal money order drawn in favor of the NFTA. This sum is non-refundable. The Contract Documents may be picked up or sent via courier billed to the requester.
