Gaston College is seeking proposals to upgrade and repair the proper heating, ventilation, and air conditioning installation for the PTI Auto Shop. With the rise of COVID-19, indoor spaces can be riskier than the outdoors, especially since there are times when people have to work closely together and there is considerably less ventilation indoors. Proper ventilation also reduces surface contamination by removing some virus particles before they fall out of the air and land on surfaces. Ventilation benefits indoor air quality too by lowering exposure to products used for cleaning and disinfecting the potentially contaminated surface. A non-mandatory site visit is scheduled for this RFP. Submission of a proposal shall constitute sufficient evidence of Vendor's compliance and no allowance will be made for unreported conditions which a prudent Vendor would recognize as affecting the performance of the work called for in this RFP. Vendor is cautioned that any information released to attendees during the site visit other than that involving the physical aspects of the facility referenced above, and which conflicts with, supersedes, or adds to requirements in this RFP, must be confirmed by written addendum before it can be considered as a part of this RFP and any resulting contract.
