Description: The scope of the project is to strip existing roof material (slate or asphalt shingles, flashings, eave material and or Ethylene Propylene Diene Terpolymer Membrane (EPDM), Thermoplastic Polyolefin (TPO)) and to reinstall new materials as described in the contract documents. Sections of the existing roof decks will be replaced due to rot or water damage. Portions of existing veneer (brick or granite) will require repointing and cleaning of existing surfaces. The Project will include the Discipline(s) of: Selective Demolition Masonry, Metals, Wood and Plastics, Thermal and Moisture Protection, Finishes. All individuals, firms, partnerships or corporations intending to bid, before obtaining plans and specifications, must file with the Department of Transportation on forms prepared for that purpose at least ten (10) days prior to opening of bids, a statement showing their qualifications. No valid bidding proposal will be issued to a prospective bidder who is not qualified. Companies, corporations or trade names, except sole proprietorships must be registered with the Secretary of E State (Corporate Division, Telephone No. 603/271-3244) in order to do business with the State of New Hampshire. Bidders are advised that final bid award, as approved by Governor and Executive Council, and issuance of a notification to proceed with the work, can occur up to 60 days or more after the bid opening date.
