Renovation of a mixed-use development in River Falls, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
In general the work consists of: This an eight-sided brick chimney with a current height of 33 163' - 0". In general, the work consists of performing exterior masonry repairs consisting 34 of tuckpointing approximately 5,000 linear feet of masonry joints and replacing 35 approximately 100 masonry units. Caulk cracks in existing concrete chimney cap. 36 Perform exterior masonry repairs. Clean, repair, recoat and caulk existing steel tension 37 bands. Clean, repair, and recoat existing exterior ladder and exterior platform handrails, 38 grating, and support framing. Caulk cracks in existing concrete cap above the exterior 39 breeching offset. Recoat exterior breeching, cleanout door and door frame. Place new 40 heat-resistant insulation to fill existing gaps at breeching inlet. Check electrical continuity 41 of air leads down through lightning protection to ground. Apply Siloxane Water Proofing 42 to exterior after finished with repair work. Inspect Chimney interior per specifications and 43 perform interior tuckpointing and masonry repair. Repair spalling in foundation concrete. This chimney will be down May 13 th and back up on May 23 rd 44 . The internal inspection and 45 cap repair must be done then.
