The Board of County Commissioners of Garrett County, Maryland will accept sealed bids on behalf of the Avilton Community Association for the construction of new sidewalks as specified at the community center located at 8295 Avilton Lonaconing Road in Lonaconing, Maryland. ll bidders are required to submit two (2) copies of their bid documents at the time of submission. All bids submitted should be enclosed in a sealed envelope and should be clearly marked "Avilton Community Center Sidewalk Construction Bid" on the outside of the envelope. Any bids received after the time due will not be considered for award and shall be retained as documentation for the bid file. Please note that the Purchasing Department has changed the bid submission and bid opening process. Please note that email bids are NOT acceptable. If you plan on bidding, the following options are available to you for submitting your bid: 1. Standard Mail - Mail is being received at the Courthouse daily. 2. Courier Service - If you choose to have a courier service to deliver the bid, the Courthouse is open 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday. 3. Hand Delivery- If Contractors decide to deliver bids in person on Thursday, March 10, 2022, the Purchasing Department will be in the office to accept bids from 12:00 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. If bids are dropped off prior to this time, bidders are requested to drop them off in the mail drop slot (closest to the Clerk's Office) Garrett County Collection Office, 203 South Fourth Street, Room 107A, Oakland, MD 21550 This project is being funded through the State of Maryland Local Parks and Playgrounds Infrastructure Grant to the County.
