Renovation of a civil project in Independence, Missouri. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
Process will further improve pre-treatment operations at the Rock Creek Pump Station. Screening improvements have been implemented at the pump station. This pump station manages approximately 60 percent of the waste stream for the Rock Creek Treatment Plant. Grit removal from the sanitary sewer waste stream improves pump station and treatment plant efficiencies. Removal at the pump stations instead of later in the treatment process will keep from additional power required to pump this material for later processing. This project is included in the city's 2021-2027 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). As of February 11, 2022, further details regarding design and construction have not been identified. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
