Site work for a water / sewer project in Independence, Missouri. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Evaluations of the Lower Rock Creek have identified capacity issues in some segments of the system. This project, following the SSES review of the area, will address the capacity issues near 24 Highway and Rock Creek. Second phase would be capacity improvements at Truman Road and Rock Creek. Once identified, the project will make improvements to the current system to help reduce surcharging and overflow conditions during larger scale rain events. This project is included in the city's 2021-2027 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). As of February 11, 2022, further details regarding design and construction have not been identified. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
