Site work and paving for a civil project in Philipsburg, Montana. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
The project involves rehabilitating dam features to extend the dam's safe, reliable performance. Specifically, work includes but is not limited to demolishing the existing concrete spillway, constructing a concrete labyrinth spillway, constructing a seepage control berm, extending the existing outlet conduit approximately 100 feet, refurbishing the outlet conduit and valves, constructing a new gatehouse with a pedestrian bridge, installing new instrumentation, and building a new concrete bridge over the spillway approach channel. The project site is within the Beaverhead - Deerlodge National Forest approximately 15 miles southwest of Philipsburg, MT, in Granite County. The dam is owned by the DNRC State Water Project Bureau and operated by the Flint Creek Water Users Association. Bidders having questions or requiring clarification or interpretation of any section of the contract documents must address these issues at the Pre-Bid conference or in writing using the eMACS Q&A Board of this solicitation by April 21, 2024. Questions received after the deadline will not be considered. Bid Security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the Bid must accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Bids not accompanied by said Bid Security will be rejected. Successful Bidders shall furnish an approved Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. Insurance as required shall be provided by the successful Bidder(s) and a certificate(s) of that insurance shall be provided. Construction is anticipated to begin on or around June 3, 2024. The Project shall obtain substantial completion by November 10, 2025. The right is reserved to reject any or all proposals received, to waive informalities, to postpone the award of the contract for a period of not to exceed sixty (60) days, and to accept the lowest responsive, responsible and qualified Bidder which is in the best interest of the DNRC.
