Work includes, but is not limited to, the following: (1) separating out the high voltage wiring and components from a low voltage panel, (2) rebuilding heat exchangers, (3) replacing air compressors and an air dryer, (4) replacing lube oil heater and control panel, (5) modifying flare ignition rods and pilot flame assemblies, (6) extending boiler canopy coverage and installing sidewalls, (7) replacing heat recovery unit pump impeller and motor, (8) hiring the specified Provider to install controls upgrades for the PGS engine-generators, (9) relocating pressure transmitters, (10) seismically retrofitting several structures, (11) installing a radiator for turbine oil cooling, (12) relocating buried digester gas line to above ground, (13) demolishing the existing low pressure gas holder tank, and (14) miscellaneous work as shown in the Drawings and Specifications. Estimated Cost: $9,000,000 to $10,000,000. An overview of the project and photos of the work areas will be presented at the meeting. Requirements of the District's Contract Equity Program including the Local Hire component will be discussed. Presentation materials will be made available on the project website after the meeting. The link to the virtual pre-bid meeting shall only be used by confirmed attendees, and shall not be shared without the District's authorization. Prospective bidders interested in attending the pre-bid meeting and/or jobsite tour shall email Daniel Eng (daniel.eng@ebmud.com) with the names of attendees and their respective email addresses no later than Friday, March 25, 2022, with the following information: Attendee names, emails, and phone numbers; Company/contractor name; Bidding as prime contractor or subcontractor. Attendees are required to wear face coverings during the tour. Attendees must follow Alameda County-wide health guidelines, including wearing face coverings, frequent hand washing, and social distancing. Attendees who disregard these health and safety requirements, as well as attendees who feel sick and/or have a cough or fever will not be allowed to attend. No photography by the tour attendees (Attendees) will be allowed. The District will take photographs, as requested by the Attendees, restricted to the work zone. The District will release photographs to Attendees after the bid walk, pending review by the District. All Attendees are required to have a photo ID and sign a confidentiality agreement not to share, sell, or publish photos. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
