Project no -211418 The general nature of the work is as follows: The West Des Moines Community Schools is planning on an expansion and renovation to Crestview School of Inquiry. The work includes construction of an educational wing that will also be a storm shelter constructed to ICC-500 requirements. Site improvements include underground storm water detention, parking lot replacement, and other miscellaneous scope. Interior renovations include modifications of one of the wings for the creation of a pre-school program. A bid-alternate includes work in the multi-purpose room and infill of the existing courtyard. The project will be constructed in multiple Phases to allow the continual use of the building through the school Year. Submittals shall start as soon as the contract is awarded. The onsite work may commence on June 3, 2022, or the day after the last day of school. The school shall remain functional during the school year and interior work shall be phased according to the construction documents. Phase 1 work must be substantially completed (with systems ready for operation) no later than December 30, 2022. Phase 2 work must be substantially completed (with systems ready for operation) no later than August 11, 2023.
