Questions Due: March 3, 2022, 2:00pm Ben Franklin Transit (hereinafter referred to as "BFT"), a municipal corporation of the State of Washington, is soliciting bids from qualified Contractors for an On-Call Overhead Garage Door Contractor to handle all garage door repair projects. Overhead doors and associated components are located on various maintenance buildings at Ben Franklin Transit. For the safety of BFT staff, proper operation is necessary to allow for the immediate entry and exit of BFT vehicles and equipment, as well as full closing afterwards to keep the facilities secure. The overhead doors require regular maintenance by trained technicians. Qualified Contractors are encouraged to submit bids. BFT currently has thirty-two (32) overhead doors on the maintenance building, with twenty-two (22) of the doors being motorized, and five (5) overhead doors on the bus wash building, all five (5) are motorized. There are nine (9) interior overhead doors that are stationary and do not need to be part of the Preventative Maintenance (PM) schedule. See Attachment A for overhead door locations. Historically, BFT has had eighty (80) hours of repair and/or replace labor time and approximately sixty-four (64) hours of labor for the six (6) month maintenance/inspection requirements. Contractor will provide an estimate of costs for a project and have received BFT approval prior starting the project. BFT does not guarantee a minimum or maximum dollar amount associated with this Contract. The Contractor is responsible for obtaining all project related permits as required.
