Demolition and site work for a municipal facility in Dayton, Ohio. Completed plans call for the demolition of a municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.
The City reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, to waive any irregularities in a proposal, or to accept the proposal(s) which in the judgment of proper officials, is in the best interest of the City. The City reserves the right to accept a part or parts of a proposal unless otherwise restricted in the RFP or issue subsequent RFPs. The City reserves the right to approve or reject any sub-Contractors proposed for work under this proposal or waive any minor irregularities The City reserves the right to select the successful vendor once all proposals are received, without seeking further information for clarification from proposers. Upon review of proposals, the City may designate the most qualified proposals as finalists. These finalists may be invited to make oral presentations and participate in a question and answer session with the City. The City shall have the right to visit selected user sites, should this be deemed necessary. The Department of Planning, Neighborhoods & Development seeks qualified contractor to undertake removal, salvage, demolition, excavation, and backfill of structures, asphalt parking areas and 120-gallon underground storage tank (UST) located at 1005 W. Third Street, Parcel IDs R72-080406-0026, R72-080406-0029, R72-080406-0032 and R72-08406-0035 through 0041. The proposed site, the former Gem City Ice Cream Building, is owned by the City of Dayton. The site is an approximately 1.1-acre parcel that encompasses a nuisance building complex constructed in three sections. The first section is located at the southeast corner of the complex. It is a two-story structure with brick exterior walls and timber internal frame, with wood floors and roof structure. The second section is a reinforced concrete two-story building constructed in the early 1900s and located north of the initial building. The third component is an attached reinforced concrete frame structure located west of the first two structures. The Agreement shall commence upon execution by the City and shall terminate upon expenditure of all funds provided herein or on December, 31, 2023, whichever date is earlier. The Agreement shall be renewable for one (1) additional year at the sole discretion of the City.
