Site work and paving for a civil project in Bluffton, South Carolina. Conceptual plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; and water / sewer project.
As of September 26 2022, bid is under evaluation. No schedule for the work has yet been established *The previous solicitation is listed below for reference. Phase I of project consists of drainage infrastructure improvements by upgrading two existing roadway culverts crossing Buck Island Road to improve drainage and reduce risk of flooding and roadway overtopping. The project will consist of construction of existing design and permitted improvements to replace existing culverts with new, larger culverts to increase flow capacity. Construction will include removal of existing culverts, new culvert crossing installation, channel improvements, maintenance of traffic, erosion and sediment control and appurtenances. Phase II of project will evaluate the entire drainage area to identify other potential areas of drainage improvement, design and construction of identified improvements. This project is in included in the Town of Bluffton FY 2022-2026 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP).
