Demolition, site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Fort Mc Coy, Florida. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for the demolition of a playground / park / athletic field.
The Marion County Parks and Recreation Department is looking for a qualified UES Report No. 1946988 v1 contractor to perform Demolition of an obsolete 2- story restroom/concession building, retaining walls, and septic tank. Marion County Parks & Recreation owns the restroom building which is located near the Southeast corner of the property. Marion County has determined that the structure is obsolete and structurally unsound. The building is connected to septic and well, location of the septic tank and drain field to be field located. Electric service is by Clay Electric. Contractor will be responsible for determining presence of asbestos material in building prior to beginning any work. Universal Engineering performed an asbestos survey in April 2022, no asbestos was detected. The work consists of demolishing the restroom, removing wood retaining walls and steps, cleaning, crushing and filling the septic tank, and grading the site to match surrounding grades. The site will be left clean and sodded.
