Site work and paving for a civil project in Roanoke, Virginia. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.

The Project consists of replacing existing water lines with approximately 7,945 LF of new 8-IN ductile iron pipe, 309 LF of new 6-IN ductile iron pipe, and associated service connections. Waterline replacement includes, but not limited to, removing and/or abandonment of existing waterlines and services, installation of fire hydrant assemblies and other required waterline appurtenances, traffic control, erosion control, and pavement replacement. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a unit price basis as indicated in the Bid Form. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. All questions and technical inquiries must be submitted in writing to the Owner's primary contact, Joseph Arthur (email Joseph.Arthur@WesternVaWater.org). Bidders are referred to the Code of Virginia 54.1-1100 et seq. for contractor requirements. Bidders shall provide evidence of authorization to transact business in the Commonwealth of Virginia by providing the identification number issued to Bidder by the State Corporation Commission in accordance with the Code of Virginia 2.2-4311.2, Title 13.1, Title 50, or as otherwise required by law. A Bid may be withdrawn in accordance with the Code of Virginia 2.2-4330 by giving notice in writing of Bidder's claim of right to withdraw Bid within two business days after the conclusion of the bid opening procedure and submitting original work papers with such notice.
