Notice is hereby given that The Arc of Union County will accept bids for the Mountainside Group Home located at the above address needs to have a new generator and installation. The Scope of work is as follows: 1) Contractor will purchase and install a new 200-amp, 20kw Kohler natural gas generator model 20RESCL-200SELSW with an attached generator pad. 2) Contractor will file for all required permits from the town of Mountainside. All fees will be included in the contractor's bid package. 3) Contractor will purchase and replace approximately 30 feet of feeder cable from the incoming overhead utility line to the existing electrical meter located on the exterior of the building (VIF) 4) Convert the existing 100-amp main power panel located in the basement to 200 amp service after verifying the feasibility of performing this conversion. 5) Supply and install all conduit and cabling to tie the generator into the existing natural gas meter. 6) Supply and install a 200-amp SE Auto Transfer Switch (ATS) on the outside of the building near the main power panel. 7) Contractor will supply and install conduit and wiring from the generator to the ATS and from the ATS to the 200-amp main panel in the basement Bid forms will be available at The Arc of Union County, 70 Diamond Road, Springfield, NJ 07081. The Arc of Union County reserves the right to reject any or all bids for any reason and to waive irregularity in the bids and in the bidding. Bids must be accompanied by a bid bond or certified check and consent of surety made payable to The Arc of Union County, in the amount of 10% of the total bid to secure performance. Liability insurance and a pre-construction meeting will be required. All bidders shall conform to the intention and provisions of Affirmative Action in Public Contracts Laws of the State of New Jersey and are required to comply with Davis-Bacon and Related Acts using Wage Determination Number NJ! 70022 09/29/2017 NJ22 and must have a State Registration Number.
