Requesting bids for a Panduit certified contractor to provide all materials and labor for Category 6 and fiber cabling routes at Plamann Park (1375 E Broadway Drin Appleton, WI). Reference the following: - Specification Manual dated February 17, 2022 - Layout - Buried Fiber - Drawing - Pavilion Level 1 - Drawing - Pavilion Level 2 Each bid submitted must be accompanied by a bid bond prepared on the surety'sstandard form duly executed by the bidder as principal and having as surety thereon a surety company licensed in the State of Wisconsin, in the amount of five percent(5%) of yourtotal bid price, payable to the owner as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, the successful bidder will execute and file with the owner within ten (10) days from the date the lowest responsible bidders bid is accepted,the required insurance certificate, a performance bond and a labor and material payment bond, forthe faithful performance ofthis project, and for the complete payment of all persons either performing labor orfurnishing materialsforthe completion of this project. If the bidder fails to file such certificate and bonds within ten (10) daysfrom the acceptance,the bid security shall be forfeited to the owner asliquidated damages. Attorney's-in-fact who sign bid bonds, performance bonds, labor and material payment bonds must file with each bond a certified and currently dated copy of their power of attorney. Failure to submit a bid bond will result in the rejection of your bid. In the event the successful bidder is unable or unwilling to perform pursuant to the terms and conditions of its accepted bid, Outagamie County will cause the forfeiture of the full amount of the bond. The awarded bidder must comply with the requirements set forth in Attachment A. Complete and return Attachment A with your bid, however the Certificate of Insurance is only required form the awarded bidder. There will not be a formal site visit. Contractors could tour Plamann Park at their convenience from sunrise to sunset, 7 days a week. The pavilion will be new construction and the project is currently out to bid. The Premise Distribution System shall include the horizontal cables, the telecommunications outlets/connectors in the work area, the patch panels in the Telecommunication Closet (hereafter referred to as the TC), patch cords located in the TC, patch cords located at the telecommunications outlet/connector in the work area. 1.11.2 The horizontal cabling system shall accommodate future equipment and service changes. 1.11.3 The horizontal cabling system is a star topology. Each work area telecommunications outlet/connector as shown in the drawings shall be connected to a patch panel in the TC. 1.11.4 The building has one TC as indicated by the drawings. The TC is labeled AV Closet on the drawings. 1.11.5 Separation of horizontal cabling pathways from typical sources of EMI shall be adhered to as per EIA/TIA standards. 1.11.6 Bridged taps and splices shall not be permitted as part of the horizontal cabling system. 1.11.7 The maximum horizontal distance shall be 90 m (295ft), for Category 6 cable. This cable length shall be from the mechanical termination of the media at the horizontal cross-connect in the telecommunications closet to the telecommunications outlet/connector in the work area All voice and data horizontal cabling for data jack and camera locations shall be plenum four pair UTP cable with a white jacket, spec for Panduit's Category 6 system. There shall be no exceptions or alternatives accepted. Approved unshielded cable manufacturer for horizontal data cable: Panduit PUP6004WH-W (White Jacket) for Plenum. 1.11.9 All wireless access point horizontal cabling shall be plenum four pair UTP cable with a white jacket, spec for Panduit's Category 6A system. There shall be no exceptions or alternatives accepted. Approved unshielded cable manufacturer for horizontal Category 6A data cable: Panduit Part #PUP6A04WH-UG (White Jacket) for plenum. 1.11.10 Computer generated wire labels shall be used to label the patch panels and station location faceplates. 1.11.11 Computer generated Panduit Turn-Tell wire labels shall be installed on all newly installed cabling 2 to 4 inches from its termination point at both the TC and station outlet ends. 1.11.12 EIA/TIA 568B wiring code shall standardize all Category 6 and Category 6A data communications twisted pair wiring. 1.11.13 All horizontal cabling shall be physically supported in accordance with the latest revision of the EIA/TIA category 6, 6A, and 568 standards. 1.11.14 All cabling shall be plenum rated. 1.11.15 The electrical contractor will install the station end device boxes and conduit. The Category 6 cabling may be installed after this has been accomplished. 1.11.16 Any furniture that must be moved, for the installation of the Premise Distribution System, is the responsibility of the contractor. The contractor shall see that any moved furniture shall be moved back into place after the installation is complete. 1.11.17 The PDS shall include the Panduit 25 Year System Warranties
