Project #2 Application of a FB Modified Overlay, 250 lbs./approx. 4147 SY followed by Double Bituminous Seal Coat with CRS-2P and #8 <1.0% approx. 4147 SY Sunnyside Road from Spring Hill to County Line Road. County Line Rd to the Williams Township Line FB Modified Bituminous Paving Course to be produced and applied complete in-place in accordance with PennDOT PUB 447 MS-0310-0010 (Attachment 1B). FB Modified material must be produced from a supplier listed in Bulletin 15 under the heading "MISC-Asphalt Paving Course, FB Modified". Contractor is responsible for milling of all paving notches at side streets and start and stop locations and driveways, where necessary, prior to the overlay. The Bituminous Seal Coat item shall be applied complete in-place as per PennDOT PUB 447 MS-0340-0005 (Attachment 1C). Contractor is responsible for sweeping prior to the overlay and within 2 weeks of the chip seal application with a pick-up style street sweeper then be dumped into a Township truck, with a Township driver, and hauled off site. Contractor is responsible for traffic control during all phases of construction. Contractor shall notify residents in a manner acceptable to the Township a minimum of 2 days prior to each phase of construction. Bid to be awarded based on a total of all items to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder. The Projects will be awarded at a monthly public business meeting of the Durham Township Board of Supervisors with in 60 days. All proposals must be on the forms furnished by the Township. Forms are available at the Township Building during normal business hours (M-F 8am to Noon) or electronically by emailing info@durhamtownship.org. The Township reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals and to award the contract in the best interest of Durham Township. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of 10% of the bid, made payable to Durham Township. performance and payment bonds in the amount of 100% of the contract (or similar financial security) shall be furnished by the successful bidder to the Township within 20 days after the contract is awarded. Liquidated damages apply at the rate of $870 per calendar day. Bid results will be posted on the township website the next day on portal
