The Kenai Peninsula Borough hereby invites qualified firms to submit a firm price for acceptance by the Borough for the Grounds Maintenance Project. The project consists of the following: Providing all labor and material for mowing, weed whacking, aerating, fertilizing lawns and to include removal and disposal of lawn waste and garbage. The subsequent contract will require certificates of insurance and may require performance and payment bonds. The duration of the contract shall be 3 years from date of award. The winning bidder will have the opportunity to acquire 2, 1-year extensions. Grounds Maintenance season start shall be May 1st of the calendar year and the season would conclude on September 30th that same calendar year. If the bid exceeds $100,000 the following apply: Certified check, bank cashiers check, or bid bond, made payable to the Kenai Peninsula Borough amount equal to five (5%) percent of the total bid, shall accompany each bid as evidence of good faith, a guarantee that if awarded the contract, the Bidder will execute the contract and give bond as required.
