Renovation of an educational facility in Edmonton, Alberta. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Work of this RFP package includes replacing the existing pneumatic controls on the VAV boxes and terminal reheat units in the NAIT U-Building with electronic controls connecting to the NAIT BMCS system. The replacement of the controls will be conducted in 2 phases to coincide with the changing occupancies of the building. Phase 1 will consist of the main floor of U Building and the second-floor offices/classrooms. Excluding the area of the on-campus Restaurant Ernest s. The Teaching area on the main floor has been already converted to electronic control (refer to points list for units that have already been converted to digital control) Phase 2 will consist of the on-campus Restaurant Ernest s, U210, U310 Library and the rest of the third floor of U Building. The Scope of Work includes, but is not limited to: Remove and dispose of the existing terminal boxes Supply and install new Direct Digital Controls (DDC), isolation valves and thermostats if required Remove and salvage for reinstallation or supply/install new ceiling panels and grid if required Patch and paint drywall bulkhead if required Majority of the work to be done after hours and weekends to prevent disruption to students and staff
