This project includes: A substantial demolition of an existing classroom pod (walls, flooring, ceiling, mechanical, electrical, etc.) and rebuilding in a new layout per the drawings. Work under this Contract includes: 1. Demolition a. Cleanly remove portions of existing interior walls, ceilings, and floors, at existing toilet and locker rooms. Walls consist of block and stud-gypsum board assemblies; see floor plans. Ceilings consist of ACT and gypsum board; see reflected ceiling plans. Floor structure consists of concrete slab-on-grade. All associated finishes, as well as mechanical and electrical scope, are also included. Interior Finishes a. Insulated gypsum board/metal stud partitions. b. Floor finishes of carpet, porcelain tile, and polished concrete. c. Wall finishes of paint, porcelain tile, and tackable wall surfaces. d. Ceiling finishes of acoustical lay-in tile, gypsum board, gypsum board soffits, and suspended sound baffles. e. Wood doors and hollow metal frames, access panels, hardware, toilet accessories, signage, miscellaneous specialties. f. Select specialty items, including wood veneer soffits, casework, and suspended wood slat ceilings/walls. 3. Mechanical Systems a. Plumbing including, supply and waste piping systems, piping insulation, plumbing fixtures. b. Heating including piping, piping insulation. c. Ventilation to include ductwork, duct insulation. d. Temperature control system. e. Fire suppression system. 4. Electrical Systems a. Electrical service, switchgear, distribution panels, conduit, and wiring. b. Interior lighting. c. Low voltage work.
