Site work, paving and new construction of a mixed-use development in Moundsville, West Virginia. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; for the construction of a pre-engineered storage facility; pre-engineered storage facility; pre-engineered storage facility; water / sewer project; and water / sewer project.

The Project includes the following Work: *Installation of a new prefabricated building and floor slab for a garage and tire storage facility *Installation of a new salt bin structure with fabric roof structure and associated slab *Installation of a new prefabricated building and associated floor slab for an equipment shed *Exploration work to locate existing storm sewer piping and inverts *Saw-cutting and removal of existing asphalt for new slabs and utility trenches; Trench restoration *Milling and replacement of existing asphalt *Site grading and associated erosion and sediment controls for new asphalt pavement and buildings *New asphalt pavement access drives and parking area *New concrete aprons *Installation of new storm sewer structures and piping *Installation of electrical conduit for new site lighting, cord reel stations, card reader and gate opener, service to equipment shed building Installation of new site lighting poles and fixtures *Installation of KH Industries cord reel stations *Installation of landscape stone *Pavement markings *New gate assembly with opener and card reader All work shall for this project shall be completed by August 19, 2022. A satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder or an acceptable surety in an amount equal to 5% of the bid shall be submitted with each bid. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish and pay for a satisfactory 100% Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment Bond in the amount of the contract price. The bidder(s) submitting the lowest qualified bid(s) as determined by the results of the bid opening shall submit a listing of all subcontractors and all major equipment and material suppliers proposed for each major branch of work itemized and described in the contract documents for the project. Each Bidder must ensure that no employees and applicants for employment are discriminated against because of race, creed, color, sex, or national origin. Bids may not be withdrawn for a period of 60 days without the consent of the Owner. Contractors shall comply with all applicable National, State, and Local codes. Pursuant to Chapter 21, Article 11 of the "West Virginia Contractor Licensing Act" of 1991, all Contractors doing business in West Virginia must be licensed to perform work in the State; the Contractors WV License number must be affixed to all submitted construction bids and fully executed and binding construction contracts or agreements. waive all formalities, and to make selections from the bids that are solely in the best interest of the school system. Marshall County Schools will suffer loss if the project is not completed within the Contract Time. Therefore, as liquidated damages, and not as a penalty, the Contractor shall be liable for such damages at the rate of $500.00 per calendar day for unexcused delays beyond the date of Substantial Completion.
