The project involves the demolition and asbestos abatement of two existing buildings, site preparation, and construction of a two-story health department building on that site. Prime Bidders interested in submitting bids shall contact the Architect. Email bid package requests to maliff@silling.com and a link to access the bidding documents will be emailed. Contractors shall access bidding documents and print copies at their own expense. A deposit is not required to access the link. A certified check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total Bid, or a satisfactory Bid Bond furnished by a solvent surety company authorized to do business in the state of West Virginia in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total Bid must be submitted with each Bid. The successful Bidder will be required to execute a contract and provide a Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond for 100% of the contract award. All Prime Contractors and Subcontractors shall be licensed in compliance with SB409 (WV Contractor's Licensing Act). All General Contractors shall include their license number in the space provided on the Bid Form. An executed WV Drug Free Workplace Conformance Affidavit must be included in the proposal. All bidders must attend the Pre-Bid meeting to familiarize themselves with the project location, site conditions, and other relevant information. Attendance at the Pre-Bid meeting is mandatory for bid qualification. After the scheduled closing time for receipt of Bids, no Bid may be withdrawn for a period of 45 days.
