The Town of Williston is seeking bids for pavement markings and road line painting. The contract includes 250 ft of White turn lane lines, 700 feet of stop bars, approximately 21 Crosswalks and 80 Arrows. Bidder should also include price for Letters in case the Town decides to have some stencil work completed. Williston reserves the right to waive technicalities and to award the contract that it deems in the best interest of the Town. Williston also reserves the right to change the quantity of work. Hoar, by email at bhoar@willistonvt.org Insurance: Before work starts, the contractor selected for the work must supply a certificate of insurance listing workers compensation, automobile, and general business liability insurance coverage and any other documentation required for payment. Traffic Control: The contractor will provide traffic control devices and will be responsible to provide traffic control personnel as necessary. Cones or other similar lane markers shall be used to protect freshly painted lines until dry. Reference is made to the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices, Traffic Control in Work Zones. Costs for traffic control, if any, shall be included in the bid for pavement markings. Payment: Payment will be issued within 30 days of receipt of the invoice, provided work is satisfactory. Description: Road lines will be applied in conformance with the latest version of the "Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices" (MUTCD) or as closely to the MUTCD as is possible as interpreted by the Town. The lists of roads and locations will be supplied to the winning bidder. Bidders most provide list of previous experience of at least 10 years for similar municipal projects Basis For Payment: The unit price bid per linear foot shall include the cost of furnishing all of the labor, equipment, equipment maintenance, and materials necessary to accomplish the described work. Start & Completion: This bid is for FY 22 all work must be completed April 1 and June 15, 2022. Notice of Work: The contractor shall give the Town DPW 1 week notice before starting work. Quality Control: The Town reserves the right to conduct panel tests to verify specified thickness, as well as resistance to bleeding, discoloration, and water disintegration as outlined in AOT Standards Section 708.08 *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project.
