The Contractor shall furnish bonds covering faithful performance of the Contract and payment of obligations arising thereunder. Bonds shall be obtained from a provider licensed and approved by the Insurance Bureau of the State of Michigan and be rated by Best's Key Rating Guide, current edition, at not lower than an A rating. The cost of the bonds shall be included in the Contract Sum. The amount of each shall be equal to 100 percent of the Contract Sum. Work shall start within 10 working days after receipt by Contractor of Notice to Proceed and shall be completed by October 1, 2022. The City reserves the right to postpone the bid opening for its own convenience.
