The project consists of furnishing labor, equipment, and materials for the demolition of the former Pine Ridge Park WWTP and filling of pond. Generally, the work includes demolition of the onsite concrete pump station and treatment units, the backfill of the pond and removal of other incidentals (piping, conduit, equipment, etc.) to properly complete the project. Each bid must be submitted in a sealed envelope with the project name and submitters name affixed to the outside of the envelope. The bid form must be filled in completely and accurately. In order to perform public work, the successful Bidder shall, as applicable, hold or obtain such Contractors' and Business Licenses as required by State Statutes. Bidders shall comply with all applicable State and local laws concerning licensing registration and regulation of contractors doing business in the State of Florida. The bid must conform to Section 287.134 Florida Statutes, on discriminatory vendors. Pursuant to section 287.133(2)(a), F.S., a person or affiliate, as defined in section 287.133(1), F.S., who has been placed on the convicted vendor list following a conviction for a public entity crime may not submit a bid, proposal, or reply on a contract to provide any goods or services to a public entity. The Bidder warrants that neither it nor any of its affiliates is currently on the convicted vendor list. The Bidder shall disclose if it or any of its affiliates is placed on the convicted vendor list. Before a Contract will be awarded for the work contemplated herein, the OWNER/ENGINEER will conduct such investigation as is necessary to determine the performance record and ability of the apparent low Bidder to perform the size and type of Work specified under this Contract. Upon request, the Bidder shall submit such information as deemed necessary by the OWNER to evaluate the Bidder's qualifications. The Okeechobee Utility Authority reserves the right to waive informalities in the bid, reject all Proposals or any Proposal not conforming to the intent and purpose of the Contract Documents, and to postpone the award of the Contract for a period of time which, however, shall not extend beyond forty-five (45) calendar days from the bid opening date.
