CLARIFICATION DEADLINE 3/21/2022 5:00 PM Bids must be accompanied by a Certified Check or Bidder's Bond from a Surety Company authorized to do business in Pennsylvania, made to the order of Municipality of Penn Hills, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania in an amount equal to ten (10) percent of the total amount of the Proposal. Bids shall be valid for sixty (60) days beyond the time of bid opening. The Municipality of Penn Hills, Pennsylvania reserves the right to waive any formalities or to reject any or all Proposals. Pennsylvania Prevailing wage rates are required to be paid on this contract. CONTRACT A - EXCAVATION CONTRACT This project involves approximately ninety-eight (98) sanitary sewer point repairs including, but not limited to: sanitary sewer excavation spot repairs; replacement of wyes and lateral pipes; manhole installations and repairs; NASSCO compliant post-repair CCTV; location and adjustment of buried sanitary sewer manholes; and all traffic control and restoration of disturbed areas, complete in place. This project also involves four (4) add alternate lump sum specialty sanitary sewer repairs. CONTRACT B - MH TO MH LINING CONTRACT This project involves approximately eighty-two (82) sanitary sewer CIPP lining repairs (approximately 13,650 L.F. of 8" to 20" pipe repairs) including, but not limited to: sanitary sewer CIPP repair, pre- and post-repair CCTV inspections; internal reinstatement of active service laterals; cutting of protruding taps; light and heavy cleaning; traffic control; and resident notification, complete in place. Estimated Project Cost: The Engineer's Estimate for Contract A Excavation Repairs is $825,000. The Engineer's Estimate for Contract B MH-MH Lining is $650,000. These estimates do not include add alternate specialty repairs.
