As of November 4, 2022, a design engineer has been selected. Bidding is anticipated to take place in the winter and construction to start in the spring of 2023. *The previous solicitation is listed below for reference The City of Lincoln will engage the services of a qualified engineering firm to perform project development, design survey, engineering design, plan preparation, bidding assistance, contract administration, and construction engineering. Firms submitting proposals must be qualified to perform the engineering activities identified herein. Project work items may be added or removed from the contract by work authorization or supplementary agreement. The project consists of the design and construction of a new water reservoir tank to replace an existing City of Lincoln water reservoir tank and new water main to connect the tank to the City of Lincoln water service grid. Selection will be on the basis of the following criteria: 1) Past performance, 2) Ability of professional personnel, 3) Willingness to meet time and budget requirements, 4) Location, 5) Recent, current, and projected workloads of the persons and /or firms, 6) Related experience on similar projects, 7) Recent and current work for the agency, 8) Project understanding, issues, and approach, 9) DBE requirements. At the sole discretion of the City of Lincoln, the City may conduct interviews of selected responses to this Request for Proposals. If interviews are conducted, the City anticipates they will be conducted tentatively within 14 days from the due date of this proposal. Proposals shall be limited to twelve (12) pages.
